Jeremy Sarmiento to make injury comeback
Jeremy Sarmiento will make his comeback from a three-month injury absence in Brighton’s under-23s at home to Everton on Friday night.
The 19-year-old attacker sustained hamstring damage which required surgery 13 minutes into his full Premier League debut at West Ham in December.
Sarmiento, signed from Benfica last summer, has been fast-tracked into first-team contention by head coach Graham Potter.
The former Charlton prospect has also broken into the senior side of World Cup-bound Ecuador, the home country of his parents, having previously represented England from under-16 to under-18 level.

Lucas Leiva: ‘Anfield on Champions League nights is beautiful… it gives players 10% more motivation’
“A unique feeling,” Leiva says about Anfield.
“Just being there and having that experience, you can feel it. When you speak about Anfield and the Champions League the motivation the players already have is 10 per cent more because we know how beautiful it is. In the last few years, Anfield again made the difference. We can remember the comeback against Barcelona that probably wouldn’t be possible in other stadiums but in Anfield anything is possible.”

NEWS: FIFA postpone Scotland’s World Cup qualification play-off against Ukraine
FIFA have postponed Scotland’s World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.
The two sides were scheduled to meet at Hampden Park on March 24, but the Ukrainian FA applied for a postponement last week following the Russian invasion of their country. That has now been granted.
It is likely to be rearranged for the June international window, when the first round of the Nations League is due to take place. The World Cup draw is set for April 1.
The winners of the rearranged match will face the victors of the other play-off semi-final — Wales vs Austria — to decide qualification.
That match will still be played on March 24, but the play-off final will be also postponed until June.

FT: Spurs 5-0 Everton
Wow.
Spurs good or Everton bad? Hard to say how much of each that was.
It leaves Tottenham level on points with West Ham and Everton still just a point and a place outside the relegation zone.

An update on Oxford United’s stadium
A statement from the club reads:
“Oxford United are delighted that officers are recommending that Oxfordshire County Council Cabinet authorise permission to negotiate an In Principle Agree with the club at their meeting on the 15th March.
“We strongly believe that our aspirations for the site can not only meet, but significantly exceed the priorities of Oxfordshire’s Fair Deal Alliance and this decision will form an important first step in securing the future of a much loved community asset, one that is anchored in the heart of Oxfordshire’s sporting and cultural legacy.”
