“Go Green in the City” is returning to York, and event officials say vendors are needed.
This is the 14th year for the free, family-friendly festival that celebrates green, healthy and local living. Held between North Beaver Street, North Pershing Avenue, West Clark Avenue and surrounding areas in April, this interactive street fair will have vendors, live music, food, children’s activities and more.
“Go Green in the City, one of Downtown Inc’s signature annual events, provides us with the opportunity to showcase to visitors the exponential growth that Downtown York has seen in recent years, while celebrating green and healthy living,” director of Downtown Inc Jonathan Desmarais said in a news release.
Downtown Inc is accepting vendor applications and looking for:
- green-conscious businesses
- artisans with an emphasis on natural/re-purposed materials
- vendors who provide a hands-on activity, or an educational or instructional demonstration
- non-profits focused on healthy/green living
- locally sourced food vendors
- urban gardeners
- children’s activities
Vendor applications can be found at downtownyorkpa.com/gogreenvendorinfo.
Downtown Inc events manager Megan Anderson said the organization has 25 applications and can accommodate around 60 vendors total.
Go Green in the City will be held Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
