Juan “Puppy Chow” Peña Lopez, 70, of Greeley, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Westlake Lodge Nursing Home. He was born March 9, 1951, to Diego Lopez & Concepcion Peña in Pearsall, Texas. He lived previously in LaSalle until he settled in Greeley in 2015. On September 13, 2008, he married Rubi Huerta in Greeley. Juan was a man of all trades. He started working when he was 12 years old. He did many types of work from farming, labor, maintenance, and mechanic. His hobbies included restoring old cars, playing the drums, listening to Tejano Music, and camping & fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Rubi Lopez, his son, John (Michell) Lopez, stepsons, Antonio & Alejandro Orozco, daughters, Candy (John) Garcia & Nora Barnhart, stepdaughters, Monica Orozco, & Selina (Bobby) Johnson, brothers, Felix (Julia) Lopez, Jessie (Eva) Lopez, Diego Lopez, & Joe Lopez, sisters, Mary Peña, & Yolanda Orozco, 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, Diego & Concepcion Lopez, a sister Guadalupe Orozco, and brothers, Steve and Romolo Lopez. Private family services will be held at a later date.
