Kevin Love turned back the clock on Monday as the 33-year-old put in a season-high of 23 points to go along with nine rebounds in a win vs. the Heat. Love has been coming off the bench this season for the first time in a dozen years, but he’s been productive with averages of 11.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. And with NBA DFS price tags of $5,300 on FanDuel and $4,800 on DraftKings, Love is certainly affordable for Wednesday’s NBA DFS lineups. He also has an appealing matchup versus a Rockets team that is allowing the third-most points per game.
A bonus to rostering someone like Love is that you can then splurge on more pricier options at other positions. Perhaps, for one night, you can reunite Love and LeBron James (probable) in the same lineup? But what other players should you consider with your excess NBA DFS salary cap if you do make Love one of your picks? Before you submit your NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.
McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.
This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.
On Tuesday, McClure had Nets forward Kevin Durant in his core NBA DFS picks on FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Durant posted a triple-double with 34 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for an incredible 72.25 points on DraftKings and 65.1 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.
Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Wednesday, December 15 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.
Top NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, December 15
One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Wednesday is Nuggets center Nikola Jokic at $12,200 on DraftKings and $11,500 on FanDuel. The big man just missed his sixth triple-double of the season on Monday vs. the Wizards. Jokic had 28 points, a season-high of 19 rebounds, nine assists and three steals.
The reigning MVP is making a great case to go back-to-back as his numbers this year are even better than they were last year. Jokic’s points per game (26.5), rebounds per game (13.8) and field-goal percentage (58.4) are all career-highs as he’s taken on even more of the Nuggets offense without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. Expect another MVP-worthy performance from Jokic on Wednesday vs. a Timberwolves team he posted a 26-19-7 stat line against earlier this year.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Bucks forward Khris Middleton ($7,200 on DraftKings and $7,500 on FanDuel). Middleton hyperextended his knee last game and is listed as questionable to take the floor versus the Pacers.
If Middleton does suit up, then he’s a no-brainer NBA DFS pick, considering that Giannis Antetokounmpo (health and safety protocols) won’t play. Middleton scored at least 20 points in seven straight games before going down with his injury on Monday. He’s also shown the ability to take his game to another level when Antetokounmpo sits. In back-to-back games earlier this month without the Greek Freak, Middleton averaged 22 points, seven boards and 5.5 assists per game.
