“New Year, New You” might sound like a bit of a cliche, but for Rebel Wilson it really does seem to be an apt phrase.
The Pitch Perfect star is continuing her journey of transformation, ringing in 2022 with a series of glamorous Instagram posts celebrating her ongoing health regime.

In her latest post, captioned “Rebel Rising 2022,” the comedian and Hollywood favourite posed in a stunning two-piece aquamarine activewear set – which perfectly complemented the infinity pool she was standing in front of.
Relatively make-up free, her hair was pulled up into a high-ponytail and she gave the camera a seductive stare.
On Monday, the post had already attracted more than 2,000 comments among her more than 10 million Instagram followers, with many letting the Aussie actress know just how inspiring she was.
“My inspiration! I lost 50lbs in 2021 and I hope to lose 50 more this year!,” one fan wrote, while another simply wrote: “DAMN.”
“You look amazing, please share what you’ve done to get to this point!” another said.
“Wow, you keep killing it with dedication,” another added.
Former tennis champion Rennae Stubbs wrote, “Yeah, yeah!” with a blazing fire emoji, while fellow actress and TV producer Mindy Kaling said, “Beautiful!”
The Aussie star’s weight loss journey began in 2020 with a self-declared “Year of Health”.
As Wilson transformed herself through healthy eating and exercise, her fans followed her every step of the way, fascinated and inspired by her commitment and dedication.
The 41-year-old seems to be living her best life, regularly posting photographs of herself from exotic locations with A-list pals.
But she’s also been honest about the amount of hard work that’s gone into her body transformation – and admits it has required a lot of willpower.
“I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had, but I’m going to do it!” she wrote in January 2020, at the beginning of her weight loss regime.
She reached her goal weight of 74kg in her first year – but that wasn’t the end.
Wilson kept up the healthy lifestyle and the fitness regime, using her social media accounts to keep her fans abreast of her achievements.
And it looks like the Sydney-raised star has a big 2022 ahead movie-wise.
Her next film Senior Year, which co-stars Alicia Silverstone and fellow Aussie Angourie Rice, is currently in post-production.
Another film, The Almond and the Seahorse, will also see Wilson star in her first non-comedy role.
Now, it seems, we have another inspiring year of “Rebel Rising” to look forward to.
