As of late Saturday afternoon, the National Weather Service reported wind speeds of 68 mph in Fredonia at 4 p.m.; 64 mph in Fredonia at 2:25 p.m.; 63 mph in Dunkirk at 3:15 p.m.; 52 mph in Ripley at 3:38 p.m.
